An association for the residents of the Seaford area.
Who are we?
We are a non-political committee made up of concerned Seaford residents, who are passionate about our town. SRV was formed at a meeting in February 2014 to voice our community's need for change, transparency and a closer relationship with Seaford Town Council. We are pleased that we now have a good working relationship with the Council and have a Councillor on our team for liaison.
What's it for?
Getting Residents' views on the future of Seaford and ensuring Town, District and County Councils are aware of them.
Helping Residents with particular problems to do with the Town, by directing them to the best authority or making a formal representation on their behalf, if appropriate
Organising occasional events so people can meet each other, and meet Councillors and others whose operations in the town influence its direction
Who can join?
Everyone who is 16 or over living within the bounds of Bishopstone to Exceat and the Downs to the sea are welcome. Certain others with particular involvement with the area but living elsewhere will be considered individually.
We particularly want younger residents' involvement. After all, it's your town too. You're welcomed along with everyone. Becoming a Member is easy - and free, although any contributions people make in money or time will make the Association more effective. Just Click here.
Help us run!
There's no membership fee: it's one of our key policies. However to be as representative of ALL residents as we can be, we need to publicise the fact that we're here and are effective.
If you'd like help with a small donation we'd welcome it. The PayPal donation button is below; it's private and and secure using credit or debit card. It's a one-off donation - we won't hound you for more (well, perhaps if there's a specific need we might send out a begging email to all members!)
Alternatively, please feel free to give your donation in an envelope marked "Seaford Residents' Voice" to K&L Jewellers, Talland Parade, High Street, Seaford.
SRV charges no membership fee. A donation of just £1 would help with expenses and publicity. Please will you help?
